Watch Infomercial Text or Video? |
| Business |

Now that broadband speeds are sufficiently fast, and that there's a wide acceptance of communication through video and with lots of people watching online videos like youtube... my question would be, would you rather read text for information or watch a video?
Now it's different if you're watching an entertaining movie or that there's this funny clip that's hillarious. You could browse it (watch for a few seconds) and decide not to watch it if it doesn't seem good. Plus you just want to be entertained.
But for Infomercial videos, if you've set out to learn about a particular product, chances are you're firm in watching everything or at least most of the video. It's not as fast as reading text but provides more info IF the video maker utilizes the opportunity to provide visual and audio info like watching video reviews in CNET. Or like Delta Airline's Inflight safety video.
What's your preference? Text or video?
What tips the scale? What minimum requirements must the Infomercial video have to warrant your attention?
